Personal License

The Personal License grants you, as a single end-user, the right to use the item for personal, non-commercial projects.

Allowed

  • Use in personal projects and presentations
  • Modify, edit, and combine with other assets for personal use
  • Use on personal social profiles and portfolios
  • One user and one household/workstation
  • Install fonts on desktop to create images only

Not Allowed

  • Resell, redistribute, or share the original files
  • Use in products for sale or client work
  • Use in trademarks, logos, or brand marks
  • Claim ownership of the original asset

If you need client work, monetized content, or any revenue-generating use, choose a product with a Commercial License.

Commercial License

The Commercial License grants broader usage rights including client projects and revenue-generating work, subject to the restrictions below.

Allowed

  • Use in client work and paid projects
  • Unlimited digital use in marketing materials, social media, and ads
  • Modify and incorporate into end products for a single client or brand
  • Up to 5,000 physical copies (packaging, flyers, magazines, etc.)
  • Use fonts on desktop for logos, covers, and static website graphics

Not Allowed

  • Resell or redistribute the original source files as-is
  • Use in on-demand services where buyers customize or download the asset itself
  • Use in broadcast TV, cinema, OTT streaming, or digital billboards
  • Print on demand (POD) or products where the asset is the main selling point
  • Live webfont, CSS @font-face, or uploading fonts to website builders

Attribution is not required, but appreciated. Broadcast, unlimited print, and POD require an Extended Commercial License.

Extended Commercial License

The Extended Commercial License includes all Commercial rights plus broadcast, unlimited print, POD, and expanded font embedding.

Allowed

  • All rights included in the Commercial License
  • Unlimited digital reach including TV, cinema, OTT, and digital billboards
  • Unlimited physical copies and print on demand (POD)
  • Up to 5 users within one organization who access the source files
  • Live webfont in one website project; app, game, and e-publication embedding

Not Allowed

  • Resell source files as stock, templates, or standalone products
  • Host assets in SaaS or editor services where unrelated users create their own designs
  • Register the asset as a standalone trademark
  • Download, distribute, or sub-license font files outside the licensed website project

Each unrelated website or client website project requires a separate Extended Commercial License.

General License Rights

The following rights apply to all license tiers:

  • Non-exclusive: You do not own the asset. Clico and the creator retain all copyrights.
  • Perpetual: You may use assets you validly downloaded forever.
  • Worldwide: You may use the assets in any country.
  • Non-transferable: You cannot sub-license, resell, or give away the source files to third parties.

Brushes, Effects, and Creative Tools

Procreate, Photoshop, and Illustrator brushes, plus actions, effects, and layer styles, are tools for creating new work rather than finished graphics.

  • Artwork you create with brushes and tool assets is your own original work.
  • Under Commercial and Extended Commercial tiers, flattened output is not subject to physical copy or POD limits.
  • Under the Personal tier, output remains restricted to personal, non-commercial use.
  • Output whose primary value is an unmodified stamp or texture without meaningful creative input follows standard asset limits.
  • You may not extract brush tips, textures, or settings to create competing tools or presets.

Prohibited Uses

The following restrictions apply to all license tiers:

  • Use assets to train, test, validate, or fine-tune any AI or machine-learning model.
  • Include assets in logo makers, t-shirt designers, or similar end-user creation services.
  • Resell, redistribute, or offer an asset as a standalone file or stock library item.
  • Register a trademark or copyright claim that includes the asset as a standalone element.
  • Use assets in illegal, defamatory, hateful, or otherwise harmful content.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a product's license determined?

Each download comes with the license tier shown on the product page: Personal, Commercial, or Extended Commercial. The license row on the product detail shows the applicable tier.

Can I use a Personal-licensed product in a commercial project?

No. For client work, products for sale, or revenue-generating content, you need an asset labeled with a Commercial or Extended Commercial license on its product page.

Can I use a font as live text on my website?

Live webfont, CSS @font-face, or uploading fonts to Framer, Wix, or Webflow requires an Extended Commercial License. The Commercial License covers desktop static graphics and vector outlines only.

Can I sell artwork made with brushes?

Yes. Flattened artwork you create with brushes and tool assets is your own work. Under Commercial and Extended Commercial tiers you may sell it, provided you do not distribute the brush files or extractable parts.
